Rio Tinto Diamonds Partners with U.S. Designers to Showcase Diamond Jewelry for Millennials

[Forbes Life] At the Las Vegas jewelry and watch shows held these past five days, Rio Tinto – one of the world’s major diamond producers and foremost diamond mining companies – showcased it’s newest venture: Diamonds with a Story 2015. In an effort to raise awareness of diamonds as fashion-forward jewelry items and not “your mother’s diamonds,” Rio Tinto teamed with four top U.S. jewelry designers – giving them access to premier diamonds with the goal of creating diamonds for today’s every day lifestyle.

The designers working with Rio Tinto: Jennifer Dawes, Suzanne Kalan, Matthew Campbell Laurenza and Sandy Leong. Each designer created a special collection of at least 12 to 18 pieces (rings, earrings, necklaces and bracelets) that feature natural white and color (grey, silver, champagne, cognac, and brown) diamonds. All diamonds used in the designs are exclusively from Rio Tinto’s famed Argyle mine in Western Australia.
