Lucara Diamond Corp. sold $32.5 million worth of rough diamonds from the Karowe mine at its 12th Exceptional Stone Tender. The tender comprised 10 single stones recovered in Botswana this year, totalling 1,453.06 carats, including a 472.37-carat top light brown stone, the third largest diamond ever recovered from its Karowe Mine.
Eira Thomas, CEO of Lucara, commented, "The quality of Karowe's large diamonds continues to attract the attention of the world's foremost manufacturers and diamantaires with 29 companies attending the sale and eight individual companies winning lots."
